With most of the team gone on international duty and captain Lorenzo Pellegrini sidelined with a minor muscle injury which has forced him to continue personalized individual drills, a handful of Roma’s key players have stayed behind at Trigoria even on their days off.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Nicolo Zaniolo, Leonardo Spinazzola and Andrea Belotti – all of whom were not called up by Italy’s Roberto Mancini – as well as Mady Camara were involved in intense training sessions at Trigoria even on their days off.
All four players have asked the club’s coaching staff to intensify their drills in order to further improve their physical condition once the season will be back underway in October.
