After scoring with Hellas Verona on the weekend, Nicolo Zaniolo helps the Giallorossi seal a much needed home victory with Ludogorets to lead the team to the Europa League knockouts.
The 23-year-old celebrated his wonderful solo goal in his post-match interview with DAZN.
“Scoring at the Olimpico is such a great feeling. I needed it, and so did the team and the whole environment around us,” Zaniolo remarked.
“We played a great game and advance to the next round even if we had some difficulties along the way. For me, scoring has never been a problem because if find yourself enough times in front of the goalkeeper and make mistakes it’s just a problem of accuracy.”
“Now I scored against Verona and tonight, these are moments that we all live for. Today I could have lobbed the ball over the keeper.”
“Derby? We know how important it is to us, the people and the league. If today we put in 120% effort, against Lazio we will put 200%.”
