Zaniolo comments on possibility of renewing Roma contract

Nicolo Zaniolo returns to Roma’s starting eleven after being sidelined for the past few weeks with a dislocated shoulder. The young attacker will feature in tomorrow night’s Europa League match with Helsinki.

As a result, the 23-year-old was interviewed by Sky Sport on a number of topics including the possibility of renewing his contract with the capital club.

“It’s always nice when you’re able to return to the pitch,” he said. “Especially at this point in the season when the team is playing every three days and needs as many players available as possible.”

“For me the transfer rumors were never a problem,” he added, referring to the constant transfer links to Juventus and Tottenham over the summer. “I am used to constantly being linked with other teams and then somehow I always end up staying.”

“The contract renewal? I would be happy to extend my contract with Roma, but it’s not up to me talk about it. I have professionals who do those things for me and Roma have Tiago Pinto.”
