Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo was not among the names listed in Roberto Mancini’s list for Italy’s training camp ahead of the Nations League engagements with England and Hungary.
The player is reportedly disappointed with Mancini’s decision, claims Sky Sport, as he’d been in contact with the ex-Man City boss and was hoping to be granted the opportunity to join his Italy teammates in Coverciano.
Mancini’s decision, however, is final and the message is clear: Zaniolo does not fit the technician’s plans for the time being.
Thus, the young forward will now focus on Jose Mourinho’s preparations for the big match against his former side, Inter, scheduled on October 1st at the San Siro in Milan.
