Roma get a few additional reinforcements ahead of their upcoming league fixture against Spezia, a crucial game to take advantage of in order to maintain their position in the table.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Nicolo Zaniolo and Stephan El Shaarawy are once again back in group training after recovering from their respective injuries – Zaniolo suffered from a painful quadriceps muscle, whereas El Shaarawy was sidelined with a calf problem.
Both players are additional options for Mourinho with Zaniolo likely returning to the starting eleven.
It remains to be seen whether El Shaarawy will be given the chance to start as well as Mkhitaryan’s status for the weekend fixture is still questionable.
The Armenian international will undergo further tests before Saturday which will determine whether he will be able to attend the game.
Finally, Kumbulla could be given another chance alongside Chris Smalling and Gianluca Mancini who served his one-match ban against Hellas-Verona.
