Zaniolo flies to Austria to undergo knee surgery

Roma attacker Nicolò Zaniolo arrived at Ciampino Airport late this afternoon to fly to Austria in order to undergo surgery to repair his torn ACL.

The Giallorossi starlet will have the procedure done tomorrow morning in Innsbruck — it will be performed by Prof. Christian Fink.

The Austrian physician is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology and is co-founder of the Innsbruck medical practice with a focus on sports medicine and knee surgery.

Prof. Fink also performed the same operation on Juve defenders Merih Demiral and Giorgio Chiellini within the last year.

Zaniolo is expected to be out at least until February for Roma as he undergoes his second torn ACL operation within the last eight months.
