Nicolò Zaniolo was the star of tonight’s show as Roma end their trophy draught by winning the first edition of the Conference League in spectacular fashion over Feyenoord.

The 22-year-old’s first-half goal was enough to secure Roma the result they wanted as José Mourinho was forced to change formation following Mkhitaryan’s early exit at the 17th minute of playing time.

After the game, Zaniolo was briefly interviewed by Sky Sport.

“It’s a beautiful moment,” said tonight’s goal-scorer. “We want to enjoy it.”

“This is what I dreamed of when I was a kid and now we get to enjoy it.”

When asked about the constant support from the travelling fans, he replied “The trophy is all theirs. They’re fantastic.”

The youngster concluded by saying, “I think we’re good, much better than we think and we don’t even know it yet.”
