A November-interview with Roma midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo appeared in the latest edition of La Giovane Italia after the youngster was awarded the best Italian midfielder of the 1999 class. These are his words:
“I hope to be a good representative of this generation. I am very proud to have received this award, I hope it’s deserved and that I can continue like this. I must be good at keeping my feet on the ground and continue like I’m doing. Everyone expects a lot now after having reached this level. However, talent is not everything. Certainly it is a large part, but you also need the right mind-set and to keep training”.
