In a night that saw him score the goal that would help Roma seal their precious home victory against Ludogorets and lead the team to the Europa League knockouts, Zaniolo took the time to speak about the upcoming derby showdown with Lazio on Sunday.
“We knew it was going to be a tough match, but we couldn’t fail in front of this crowd,” he told Sky Sport after the final whistle.
“Now we are more motivated than ever and on Sunday there is another battle for us to win, because we want to win at all costs.”
“The difference between the two halves tonight? Sometimes that’s the way it goes. You have good days and lesser days, but the important thing is to always give 100% for these colours.”
