Zaniolo progressing after ACL injury

RomaPress – Roma’s training center, Trigoria, reopened yesterday after the government of the Region of Lazio gave the green light for individual training sessions to take place.

Among the first to arrive yesterday morning was Giallorossi starlet Nicolo Zaniolo. Like the rest of his teammates, the youngster underwent a medical examination after having been in quarantine for nearly two months.

Zaniolo underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL and meniscus on 13th January following the injury he suffered against Juventus in Roma’s 2-1 loss to the Bianconeri.

The attacker continues to make progress and has been given the OK by his surgeon, Prof. Pier Paolo Mariani, to increase his workload and begin running on the pitch after having been limited to a treadmill and exercise bike.

Individual training sessions will begin at Trigoria on Thursday and Zaniolo is ready to continue his path to recovery.
