Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo addressed some of the doubts regarding his uncertain future as talks with the club over a contract renewal have stalled for the past few months.
As reports today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, the young forward spoke to his family and friends in a recent public appearance and declared, “2023 will be my year, a turning point for my career.”
The ex-Inter man knows Mourinho counts on his potential, having defended him countless times in the face of unconvincing performances, and as a result Zaniolo feels compelled to deliver on his promise in the coming months.
Roma president Dan Friedkin wants Zaniolo to improve his form in the second half of the season before giving the green light for a contract renewal.
