Zaniolo remains questionable for Conference League fixture

Nicolò Zaniolo missed last night’s away win at the Marassi after suffering an injury to his flexor muscles upon his return from international duty.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the 22-year-old is yet to be cleared for Roma’s upcoming Conference League engagement against Bodø/Glimt on Thursday night.

Later today the player’s condition is expected to be re-assessed by the club’s medical staff.

It is highly probable that Mourinho will decide to sit him out on Thursday in order to have him ready to go in the upcoming league game against Salernitana, where Zaniolo will be called upon to replace Pellegrini given that the Roma captain is set to serve a one-match ban.
