Zaniolo suffers minor ankle sprain vs Napoli

Nicolò Zaniolo was forced to walk off the pitch of the Maradona Stadium in the final minutes to Roma’s big match against Napoli.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the issue does not seem serious even though the player was seen limping on the sidelines.

Zaniolo has reportedly suffered a minor anke sprain. The player himself stated on an Instagram story that the injury is “nothing to worry about.”

Zaniolo is expected to miss Roma’s next league fixture at the San Siro vs Inter due to suspension.

This will hopefully give the 22-year-old enough time to recover for the crucial first leg of the Conference League semifinal against Leicester.
