As reported by Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, Zaniolo walked off the pitch a strong contusion to the thigh as a result of a blow received while trying to win the ball from the opponent.
His condition will be monitored and re-assessed by the club’s medical staff in the coming days but Mourinho’s hope is to have him at his disposal already for Thursday night as the capital club await UEFA’s decision to reduce his ban.
