Zaniolo undergoes successful knee surgery in Austria

Roma announced today that the surgery to repair the ruptured ACL in Nicolò Zaniolo’s left knee was successful.

The surgery, performed by Professor Fink at the Hochrum Clinic in Innsbruck, Austria, was completed successfully late this morning.

Zaniolo will remain at the Austrian hospital for the next three to four days following the operation.

The Giallorossi didn’t announce a timetable for the young attacker’s return, but they’re expected to take a conservative approach with his rehabilitation and will be in no rush to get him back on the pitch given that this was his second torn ACL within the last eight months.
