Zappacosta suffers minor muscle tweak, a question mark for Milan clash

Right back Davide Zappacosta was set to start tomorrow’s league match against Milan, but Corriere dello Sport reports that the defender is now a question mark for the clash.

The Italian suffered a small muscle tweak during yesterday’s training session at Trigoria. The injury is nothing serious, however, Corriere dello Sport reports that he could be at risk for missing tomorrow’s showdown at the San Siro against Milan.

The former Atalanta man will be evaluated during today’s training session: if the he responds positively, he’ll train as normal with the rest of the team and will face the Rossoneri.

Should Zappacosta be unable to play, one between Davide Santon and Bruno Peres is expected to take his place in the starting formation of manager Paulo Fonseca.

Zappacosta featured for Roma in Wednesday’s victory over Sampdoria for the first time since suffering a torn ACL earlier in the season.
