Zappacosta to undergo medical examinations tomorrow following yesterday’s injury

Davide Zappacosta was ready to make his first start for Roma yesterday against Lazio before being forced to pull out of the match due to a muscle injury in his left calf. Il Tempo reports that the right back will undergo medical examinations tomorrow once Fonseca’s men resume training. It’s unclear as to how long the Italian will be on the sidelines for, but the international break has arrived and will allow him extra time to recover. However, the Giallorossi have three matches in seven days once play resumes on 15 September.
