Former Roma player and UEFA director Zbigniew Boniek shared his thoughts on Nemanja Matic’s controversial move to Rennes.
The midfielder’s decision to accept a long-term proposal from Stade Rennais less than two weeks before the start of the new Serie A season sparked a lot of controversy in and around Trigoria.
Boniek – one of the more outspoken former players and recently linked with a return to the club’s management – commented on Matic’s decision in a post on Twitter.
“I wouldn’t have expected this from you. Major disappointment, my dear Matic,” wrote the Polish executive.
