Former Roma midfielder and UEFA director Zbigniew Boniek was recently asked about his top four predictions as well as Paulo Dybala’s decision to join the Giallorossi following the expiry of contract at Juventus.
“Dybala is a big time player,” he told Famiglia Cristiana. “He has done important things. The moment his contract expired he decided to go to Roma.”
“I think he will love it at Roma, it’s the ideal club to reinvigorate his career because, despite being a great player, over the last two seasons he did not do as much as we probably he wished he could have done. I wish him good things.”
“Now,” Boniek said, addressing the top four race. “I think Inter, Juventus, Milan and Roma are the teams that – on paper – have the best chance to fight for Champions League qualification and the league title.”
“The transfer window gave Roma great enthusiasm. Mourinho brought veteran players, and this is the right year for Roma to get back to top four.”
