Former Roma player and UEFA director Zbigniew Boniek shared his thoughts on the Giallorossi’s resounding defeat in Udine. The Polish executive did not mince words when speaking about Roma’s mistakes in last night’s debacle.
“It’s better to lose 4-0 once than to lose four games 1-0,” Boniek said in an interview with Radio1.
“This was an odd match against a very healthy and in-form Udinese side,” he added. “Udinese were helped a bit by Roma’s countless individual mistakes. When you gift your opponent three goals you cannot expect a positive outcome.”
“Udinese deserved to win. Now, it’s going to be interesting to see how the race for the league title develops.”
