Former Roma player and UEFA director Zbigniew Boniek shared his thoughts on Daniele De Rossi’s appointment at the capital club and his impact on the Giallorossi’s playing style.
In an interview with ReteSport, Boniek remarked, “Thursday night against Feyenoord was Roma’s victory as a team, as a club, while before only Mourinho won and in the defeats it was only the players’ fault.”
“Svilar’s run towards the Curva Sud is sincere and exciting: yesterday I fell in love with him. De Rossi had the courage to make him the starting goalkeeper. Roma now plays real football which they didn’t do before.”
“De Rossi? To become an important coach you have to coach strong teams. Already when he was playing football I understood that he had all the characteristics to be a coach: the club made an intelligent choice. Now I see serenity and I like that. I am happy that now there is no longer the merit of a single person.”
