Roma fullback Zeki Celik was once again a pivotal presence in the Giallorossi’s line-up in tonight’s win over Milan in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals.
The Turkish defender spoke about his own performance as well as the collaboration with Stephan El Shaarawy on the right flank to contain the likes of Rafael Leao.
“We did really well with El Shaarawy. We prepared the match well and are happy with this result,” Celik told Sky Sport at full-time.
“The return leg won’t be easy – Milan are a very strong team. We must win and advance,” he added.
“Mancini? He’s such a good player and so passionate. I’m happy for him that he’s scored his second goal tonight.”
