Roma fullback Zeki Celik reflected on his rapport with Jose Mourinho in the Italian capital.
Following Turkey’s elimination from the Euro’s, Celik – who featured in the last minutes of the 2-1 defeat with the Netherlands – spoke about Mourinho and his future in Turkey with Fenerbahce.
“He is an expert coach, I learned a lot from him,” said Celik who joined Roma partly because of the Special One’s presence there in the summer of 2022.
“I think he will succeed in Turkey. I wish him that,” he added.
When asked about his limited playing time during the Euros, Celik revealed: “I had an injury before the tournament. This made me take a step back otherwise I would have had the chance to play more.”
