Roma's Zeki Celik looks on dejected during their loss to Udinese.

Turkish fullback Zeki Celik shared his thoughts on Roma’s recent Europa League campaign that culminated with the lost final in Budapest.

In a recent interview with Turkish outlet Fanatik, Celik – who is currently on international duty with Turkey – said, “Obviously we are sad to have lost the Europa League final, but this is football. They didn’t give us a penalty, but there’s nothing we can do. Next year we will be back in the Europa League. Our goal again is to go to the final and win the cup.”

“It was a great honour for me to play the Europa League final after winning Ligue 1 with Lille. I think I had a good season in Italy too. Mourinho? I learned a lot from him, I’m very happy at Roma.”
