Zeki Celik with a chance to start versus Brighton

Andy Mattioli

Roma fullback Zeki Celik has a concrete chance to start in the Giallorossi’s upcoming Europa League showdown with Brighton on Thursday.

The Turkish defender seems to have convinced Daniele De Rossi with a performance against Monza (off the bench, replacing injured Rasmus Kristensen) which the Italian technician specifically praised in his post-match media appearances.

According to Il Tempo, Celik is the favorite now to play on Roma’s right flank on Thursday as Kristensen remains out and Rick Karsdorp is still not 100% after suffering a knee injury in the match against Feyenoord.

This would be Celik’s first start under Daniele De Rossi.
