Zeki Çelik’s former boss, Yalcin Kosukavak – who coached the Turkish international at Istanbulspor – recently mentioned a conversation he had with the player himself about his future.
The Lille fullback has been heavily linked with Roma over the past few days and is rumoured to be the club’s priority to strengthen the right flank.
“I talked to Zeki 2-3 days ago. We did great things together,” he told Sporx. “He will succeed at Roma.”
“He can cover multiple positions,” added Kosakuvak.
“He performs well whatever task is assigned to him. I also used him on the right in a three-man defense and he can also do it at Roma.”
“If he leaves Lille, he will leave his mark in Italy too.”
