Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane spoke at a pre-match press conference today ahead of his side’s upcoming match against Cadiz.

The Frenchman was asked about Borja Mayoral’s statements yesterday during his unveiling following his move to Roma, where he revealed that Real Madrdid wanted him to remain while they preferred to sell Luka Jović.

“Did Borja’s statements bother me? No, I talk to all of my players, but what is said will always remain private,” said Zidane.

“I’ll never discuss or reveal what I talk about with my players, I always try to be honest and sincere with them, which is all that I’ll say.

He continued, “Everyone has their own opinion on the matter, but I’ll never reveal the dialogue between my players and I. I’m only worried about the players that I have at my disposal.”

Mayoral officially joined the Giallorossi earlier this month from the Spanish giants on a two-year loan deal.
