Much of the discussion surrounding the Derby della Capitale has been sparked by episodes that took place off-the-pitch.

In addition to the latest report which claimed groups of Lazio supporters had attacked some disabled Roma fans attending the match on Saturday, there have also been reported incidents of racism.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, in fact, Lazio’s Curva Nord is at risk of being shut down for at least one Serie A matchday due to recurring racist chants.

This time around, the Lazio ultras are being investigated by the FIGC for having chanted racist insults at Romelu Lukaku and Tammy Abraham of Roma.

The FIGC inspectors are said to have recordings of at least three separate chants on three separate occasions throughout the game on Saturday evening.
