Cassano fires back after Zeman defends Totti

Former Italian attacker Antonio Cassano

Former Roma attacker Antonio Cassano was the latest recipient of the ‘Tapiro d’oro’ award from SportMediaset television programme “Striscia La Notizia”.

This satirical award is presented to a popular celebrity, athlete, or politician who has been humiliated or made a fool of throughout the week.

The ex-Roma, Real Madrid, and Sampdoria man was presented with the “prize” after earlier this week he stated that ex-Roma striker Francesco Totti wouldn’t be remembered within 20 years.

Cassano was handed the famous Tapiro d’Oro golden statue and asked if there was anything he wanted to add regarding the controversy.

“I saw that Zeman decided to speak up on this, too. He must’ve woken up from the dead,” joked Cassano.

“I’m not jealous or a crybaby. I’ve got a great life and a great family. There’s too many ass-kissers in Italy,” he said regarding Zeman.
