Former Roma manager and current Italy head coach Luciano Spalletti discussed the possibility of reconciling with Francesco Totti.
The two infamously clashed during Spalletti’s second spell with Totti retiring at the end of 2016/17 and Spalletti departing the club to join Inter Milan.
In a recent interview, Totti expressed his regret over how things went with Spalletti.
According to Corriere della Sera, Spalletti responded to these words with a similar reflection.
“There was certainly a period in which I wasn’t able to make him understand that I never stopped embracing him, that I would have always wanted him there with me.”
“Before the next match at the Olimpico I will go to visit some friends we have in common at the Bambin Gesù Children’s Hospital, it could be a nice opportunity to visit them together.”
