Roma and Sassuolo remain locked in transfer negotiations surrounding midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The Giallorossi have been eager to bring the 22 year-old back to the Italian capital and began laying the groundwork for a reunion as early as last year.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the total deal for Frattesi could reach an overall valuation of €30-35 million.
The Giallorossi maintain a 30% sell-on clause for the midfielder, forcing the Neroverdi to lower their asking price and giving Roma an added advantage within the negotiations.
Though, the capital club are likely to add one or two youngsters into the deal. Sassuolo have identified Roma’s Felix Afena-Gyan and Cristian Volpato as two of the players they admire most.
Discussions are ongoing and there could be updates within the coming hours.
