Salzburg defender Oumar Solet is being increasingly linked with a move to Roma.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, 23-year-old Solet is a concrete option to strengthen Roma’s backline in January as the Giallorossi seek additional reinforcements as a result of Chris Smalling’s prolonged absence.

In a recent interview with Goal.com, Solet confessed his desire to move away from Austria and aspire to one of the top five European leagues.

Now, Roma are hoping to materialize their interest for Solet in the form of convincing offers that could allow the young centreback to join their ranks mid-season.
