The agent of Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola, Davide Lippi, confirmed the 30 year-old is on his way out of the club after ruling out the possibility of signing a new contract.
The Italian international’s deal expires in six months on June 30th, but Roma never presented him with a new deal and they’re actively working to sell him during this month’s transfer window.
“There’s no chance for a contract renewal,” Lippi told SportItalia.
“We’ll wait and see how things develop during the January transfer market, otherwise his contract will expire in June and he’ll become a free agent.”
As we’ve reported over the past week, Lippi recently met with Roma in the hopes of securing a move away from the club this month. However, Spinazzola’s wage demands have proven a stumbling block thus far.
